We arrived at the Grand Canyon after dark, and couldn't find a hotel. So we slept in the parking lot next to a "No sleeping in the parking lot" sign. We awoke at 5:00 am and watched the sunrise over the Grand Canyon. It was gorgeous.
For those of you saying to yourself "Self, that doesn't look so spectacular" (you know who you are) I have never, never, ever seen a photo that did the Grand Canyon justice. And I've seen a lot of photos of the Grand Canyon.
