Canyon De Chelly

On our roadtrip to Texas, we stopped at the Canyon De Chelly (pronounced Canyon Due Shay), in Arizona. You've got to click on the collage of pictures. It was gorgeous. If you look in several of those pictures, you'll see some anasazi (?) ruins in the cliff walls. Trevor thought the sign in the bottom picture was funny. We saw several sign at several of the lookouts and they depicted ancient people doing their thing, and then we come to this sign. Notice the pick-up truck by the river.

Too bad you weren't able to hike to the White House. But I'm glad you got to go see what you did. It is, indeed, beautiful country.

BTW, "Anasazi" (literally translated) means "the fathers of our enemies." Don't be fooled by those that say it means "ancient ones!"
