Whoooooooooo are You?

An owl flew around my back yard the other night! Here's just a few of the best pictures I took.

It's freakier when you invert the colors! Look at it's eyes!

It took me a long time to get a picture of it looking at me, but I did. I think it was getting mad though. I was getting a little scared.
Awesome animal.

The Crew

Kim and Lindsey chillin in the Boston Harbor.

(Mostly) Everyone that went on the whale watching excursion with us. From Left: Lindsey, Shirley, Sister Lyon, Me, Ed, and Nathan.

Do you see the people on the deck above us? They were giving me weird looks when I spoke whale to try and lure the whales towards us. It worked didn't it?

Ay Captain

Shirley got a bit seasick. I'm such a kind friend to let her lay on my lap like that. Go me!
The whole time I prayed she wouldn't wiggum on my shoes.

Whale Watching

I couldn't believe my eyes the whole time! It was such an adventure. Here are some of the highlights of the pictures.

Sister Lyon, myself, and Shirley whale watching. It looks like we're photo shopped in. My face was seriously like that the whole time. I was so excited and giddy you'd think I was three. I reminded myself of my beautiful niece Olivia when she gets excited.

A whale of a time

By far the best one I took!

Just for Janell

Janell you smell................good. I took a picture of this- the oldest lighthouse in America- just for Janello Rowley! Hope you know you are loved!

I'm a big kid now!

As I was cleaning out Bonnie's closet one day, we decided to play dress up. By "we" I mean I dressed up while Sarah laughed and took pictures. She took a lot of pictures, but this one is by far the best one. Then I found a string.....
and did and interprative dance.

Meet Mark

Hey all! In case you didn't know, I've been dating a boy named Mark. He's really great. He taught me where to hide stuff so the cops don't find it when they pat you down. And he's really considerate. He doesn't even ask me anymore if I want the pot when he smokes it. Isn't he sweet?

P.S. This is all sarcasm. Mark doesn't do drugs. I wouldn't date someone like that either. Have a little more faith in me.

Beauty of Connecticut

I know when you saw the title "Beauty of Connecticut" you immediately thought of me, but I am not the only beauty in/of Connecticut, although CT did get more beautiful when I came. haha. Anyway, this is a walking/biking trail right by my house. I love taking morning bike rides through here when I drop the girls off at school. I don't think this picture does it justice though. It's gorgeous.

I fell in love with a Lyon (or two)

The CES missionaries, Elder and Sister Lyon from Mesa, AZ, have left us to go back home. In the past few months they have become like family to me. I love those two carazy kids.

Uncontrollable Laughter

Start Spreadin the news...

I went to New York City!! It was one of the best days of my life. I had so much stinking fun! We saw everything. Rockafeller Center, Time Square, the Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, Trump Towers, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Ground Zero, Empire State Building, Radio City Music Hall, and I think that's all. If I think of more, I'll let ya know.

Not a good picture, but a picture none the less of Grand Central Station. It was ginormous! I couldn't even believe it.

Going Up

Empire State Building

View from the top

I simply could not get over how big the city is. Just to give you fair warning, I took a lot of pictures from the top. I took them from every side of the building. Take your time looking at these. I'll try to point out some things like Central Park and what not, but see what you can see.

I do believe that's Central Park sort of in the middle.

Do you see Time Square?

More of the Empire

Displaying my Vanna White skills.
I can never walk by a mirror....

Sunset from Empire State

I'm really glad we went to the Empire State Building last. The way the sun was setting on the city made for some good pictures and a wonderful experience for me. It was truly amazing up there (and well worth the cramped elevator up 86 floors. Thats coming from claustrophobia queen)

Central Park

Mark...um....stretching?

My gal's a porker. She's a New Yorker.

Eating an authentic New York hot dog in Central Park. I could've stayed there and people watched all day.

Humbled

This is where fast paced New York City seemed to really slow down. Ground Zero. To be standing where such terror happened was indescribable. There was a man standing next to us and told us various stories of how family members were supposed to be in there, but were running late and what not. Very humbling.

The Met

We spent a few hours in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It was very cool in there. I somewhat wish we would've had more time to spend in there, but then again after a while you get very cultured out. I really liked the modern art section, but I must say some people are seriously messed in the head.

On the roof in front of a melty blobby thing of color (that's a technical term by the way)
Mark either sneezing really bad, or getting a little too hungry and going for the bushes. I really don't know what he was doing....I don't think he did either.

Radio City Music Hall

Statue of Liberty

View of NY from the ferry ride. The Statue of Liberty was awesome. As we were riding by, you couldn't help but think of all the hope she brought to immigrants crossing the ocean with practically nothing. It was very neat. On a less inspiring note, she was a lot smaller than I imagined....

But still awesome.

Time Square

You can't see me well, but I'm standing in Time Square
