Didn't you read the instructions? Most home haircolor kits say DO NOT use tinfoil, it reacts with the color. A much better option is Glad Press'n Seal for all your hair coloring needs. Today I saw a kid with a black mullet, and the back hangy-rug like part of the mullet was bleached blonde. You should go for that.

It's orange. In the back there was one blob of my natural color, and compared to the rest, it looked greasy, not colored.

You should have just got one of those caps for doing highlights. Those are much easier and much cleaner.
Wasn't Liv going for the mullet look? Leah should dye Liv's hair black with 2 parallel white streaks running front to back.
