Homesick

I saw this cookie sheet fail on failblog today, and I don't know why, but it made me suddenly miss my mom.

Hey, you're just as bad, young lady. I have a cookbook and sieve in that same kind of shape from you! Remember that dinner with the missionaries where 7 or 8 items on the table had been melted on the stove? Thanksgiving will be fun.

Mom has needed to go to a home for years, if that is the standard. Miranda probably should, too. I don't know how you guys can melt/burn so many things. And is Leah implying that they are going to let you touch any of the food for Thanksgiving? Now I feel like I should really be there to protect the dinner.

Mom said we're in charge of the cooking. She's just going to enjoy the grandkids. So yes, you should be worried.

hey, hey, hey whhhaaaat? You know I explode things more than I melt them. Just yesterday I set out some rotten applecider to the side of the fridge while cleaning it out. An hour later while the visiting teachers were there my (alcohol) cider exploded in the kitchen. How about when I exploded the elderberries and the grand turkey explosion. Natalie, you know my reputation will be out and no one will accept me in their care center. signed your soon to be retaliating mother

When you said that this reminded you of your mom I immediately thought of smoker-lung pancakes! haha
