Thoughtful

My husband is leaving me for the weekend for the annual mountain man rendezvous. I went last year (pictured), but this year I absolutely can't miss my internship. So, I'm being left behind. Alone.

Trevor is the most thoughtful and considerate husband in the world. He always finds ways to make my life easier. I couldn't have asked for anything more! He's contacted all my girlie friends and made sure they are going to come sleep over and keep me company. He's pretty much made sure I won't be alone for a second. I thought that was sweet enough, but then he outdid himself. I came home from school last night to Trevor cooking me meals to cover the entire weekend so I won't have to worry about what to eat. And so I won't have to cook if I'm tired. I just couldn't believe it! I honestly don't know how I deserve him. I'm going to miss him more than anything, but what a comfort that he'll still be taking care of me from afar.

Countdown

6 more weeks of clinic, 7 more weeks of school, 12 more weeks of pregnancy (hopefully)

I pushed myself WAY too hard at my clinic internship yesterday. Especially in my second massage. My client wanted it way deeper than I'd ever gone while pregnant. But I obliged, and started having a lot of contractions afterward. I barely got through my next client. Then my contractions started getting longer and 3-4 min apart. My midwife came over at about 11:30 pm and we did lots of techniques to calm my uterus down. It worked, too. But I was really scared. I can't wait to see Ali, but we're not ready for her yet. Nor could we afford a preemie. I did joke a little that if I did go into full blown labor, at least I'd have the first grandchild on Trevor's side! Rachel may have gotten pregnant first, but it's not over. However, I'd be more than happy to let Emma be first.

I'm feeling ok this morning. Just a little sore. Needless to say, I've learned my lesson. I don't care if my client isn't satisfied with the pressure, I have to worry about my child first. Sometimes I forget that I can't do everything I used to be able to.

Happy Anniversary!

Today marks our two year dating anniversary. Sorry, no mushy stuff about how much I love him and what a wonderful husband he is. But he is great.

I'm sorry, I can't help but post this because it makes me laugh. My belly has gotten hairy since I've been preggo!

Leah's Spazoids

When Trevor pulled out my new camera, Leah's spazoids immediately started performing. Not unusual for Olivia and Gage, but Nash went crazy posing for the camera. We were cracking up at the faces he was pullling.

Some highlights

The best present was the one from Katie (Barton), who not only gave me a cute baby blanket, but also returned the necklace she borrowed for junior prom. Olivia has since confiscated it.

The end

Oh I want a baby to put in these clothes so bad! I can hardly wait!
Awesome diaper wreath
And we ended with story time.

One reason why I love my mother to pieces

I called my sister, Natalie's cell phone today because there is a sale at her place of work on dressers and I wanted to see if she also got an employee discount on top of that. She preceded to tell my mom to go buy the dresser for her granddaughter on the way. (I told her to gracefully hint, but that didn't really happen gracefully.) Then my mom had a bunch of questions. What size? What color? How much? When's the sale? And so we preceded to talk back and forth through Natalie. It got a bit confusing, so finally, exasperated, my mom picked up her kitchen phone and said "Now what is it you want?" Only to remember, I was on Natalie's cell phone.

I'm a copy cat

I wasn't tagged, but I thought this would be fun to blog about since Trevor and I are coming up on our two year meeting/dating anniversary.

Question 1 - Where did you meet each other? On my moms front lawn. I never thought I'd meet my husband in Richfield! Let alone at my moms house!

Question 2 - What was your first date? It was a forced blind date. I say forced because my roomate never asked if I wanted to be stuck with a guy all day. I didn't. I was waiting for a missionary and kind of dating somebody else. I already had my hands full. So she just brought her boyfriend and he brought his roomate without telling me, and then they ditched us. So I was stuck with Trevor the whole time. I guess it's better than being the 3rd wheel I thought I'd be.

Question 3 - When and where was your first kiss? That same day we met- August 21st, 2006. On top of bulls head in the Red Hills outside my hometown.

Question 4 - Did you have a long courtship? We dated for 5 months before we got engaged, and were engaged for 4 months. Long is a relative term. In Connecticut peopler were horrified we were getting married so quickly, and without living together first! But by mormon standards, we took our sweet time.

Question 5 - Where did you get engaged? At the Phippens (an older mission couple that hosts FHE at their place) on Jan 5, 2007 in Bloomfield, CT.

Question 6 - When and where were you married?May 18, 2007. Tower room #6, Manti Temple.

Question 7 - Where did you go on your honeymoon? Palisade Lake, where we got so burnt we couldn't even touch each other the whole time. We shared our honeymoon suite with a chipmunk. Then we went camping at Maple Grove, and some lonely old man kept talking to us and telling us stories and following us around. Normally, we wouldn't mind, but our sunburns just healed enough too....you know. But I couldn't the whole time there because I was paranoid that man would come talk to us or something.
