Nothing yet

No baby yet. Just taking it easy. Went Jogging, nothing happened. But bending over and over again to do laundry really helps! My due date is still a little ways off, but I'm getting impatient!

Greetings from the Potato State

We're at my in-laws for the weekend. A well needed rest. With my internship, I never had a weekend off. It's nice to have weekends again. It's nice to have a life again. I graduated! I'll have pictures of that too. And of this weekend. We've got some funny ones. I just want everyone to drive safe. We witnessed a very bad accident (that we narrowly missed) which involved a moose (yeah, a moose) and a small car. Two college girls hit it, and the passenger died instantly. Trevor and I have never been there where someone died. I didn't get out of the car (I just can't handle stuff like that, and there were enough cars pulled over that they didn't need my help) but Trevor did. He checked her pulse and knew she was gone. Then he kept the driver alert and asked her lots of questions and kept blankets around her. We were in the middle of nowhere (Idaho, remember?) so it took sometime for an ambulance or anything to come. Very scary when minutes could mean everything. Trev said the driver seemed okay and not majorly hurt, but you never know if someone is internally bleeding or something. Luckily, the moose died on impact. But we're both pretty stunned. It's amazing how much life can change just like that. So, if you're a praying person, keep the girls and their families in there. It was just so sad with them being so young -our age- and we were very fortunate to see the moose in time to stop.

Also, we don't have the internet, so posts will once again be few and far between. But on the positive side, my midwife says I've dropped. She moved up the appointment to set up for the birth because she worried we don't have as much time as she thought. I'm full term in two days, so really, it's any day now. Just a matter of time.

New Dress

In honor of my upcoming Graduation, I bought a new dress today. I'm so excited. I don't remember the last time I bought myself new clothes. I bought it online, and I wanted to share with you a little website I discovered. www.retailmenot.com has promo codes for pretty much any store you could possibly want. I got a discount on an already on sale dress. So for those of you who shop online often, try it out. Nothing wrong with saving some $$$

I'm a handywoman!

Last night, our toilet got clogged. I plunged and plunged until I couldn't plunge anymore! I finally decided to let it sit over night. Maybe the clog would soak and soften and be easier in the morning. When morning comes, nothing has changed. I plunge and plunge, but to no use. I decided to go back to bed and worry about it when I was more awake. I looked at the toilet from our bedroom only to realize that now water was coming back up! Our bathroom was flooded and it was starting to seep into the carpet in the hall! Aaaah! Trevor starts saying we should call the landlord. But we'd have to foot the plumbing bill, and we just can't afford that right now. Then he says to call my brother, who is a plumber. But it's so early in the morning AND it's Jason's birthday today (Happy Birthday Big Brother). Who wants a poop call on their birthday? Instead, I remembered reading about a website that has thrifty ways of fixing things. I found it, and a few squirts of dishsoap and pots of boiling water later, our toilet is flushing beautifully! Cost: 10 cents. Pride of fixing something and actually being handy:Priceless.
Also, Happy Birthday to Cindy Lou too!

Ideas? Anyone?

Are you familiar with Bruxism, the grinding or clenching of teeth at night? I barely sleep as it is anymore being pregnant, but Trevor's bruxism is driving me crazy. I can't stand that sound! After 2 hours of being kept awake last night, I finally got up and moved to the couch-where I slept better than I have in a while. We're ready to try anything to help this. If any of you have any ideas, please feel free to share. I would like to sleep next to my husband again, but I don't know if that's happening anytime soon!

This year's mountain man rendezvous

This is basically what it looks like throughout the camp. Authentic pioneer-like tents and teepees.

Typical Camp. Everyone dresses up.
Including the little ones.

This is where Trevor works the entire weekend. I help a little bit if someone needs a break, or for food runs. It's the Camp Canteen Bison Brew root beer stand. Some of the best home made root beer and cream soda ever!

View from behind the counter, as Shantel sets up.

How root beer is made the pioneer way.

Our collectible jug.

I went too crazy and had to see Trevor. I just couldn't stand one more night without him, so I made it to Wyoming on Sunday morning and stayed with him until Monday night. And now, some candids.
