Yesterday
Yesterday, I heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time! It was so exciting. Last appt they set me two weeks behind what I thought I was, but now they think I may be 4 weeks ahead of what I thought I was. So I may be due in October instead of November, which is a bad, bad thing. November is perfect. I don't want to be due the same time I have finals and graduate! Please don't come that fast Cletus the Fetus!

Happy Birthday
Today is Leah's, last week was Chris', and tomorrow is my love, Trevor's. Happy Birthday my love! For a present, you get to see the baby. Also, Trev and I are FINALLY getting the internet, so there might be more posts more often. (But I don't have more time so we'll see.)

Happy Easter/Passover
So I'm getting a new post about once a month now. That's not too bad. I'm trying again! I should get points for that. Well, it's been eventful. First off, my husband graduated in Massage Therapy! I'm so proud he made it through. I know there were times he wanted to give up, but he stuck it out and I'm am so proud of him. Now I just have to not give up and graduate in October, which is just barely in time, because the baby is due Nov 13th. That's right, folks! In case you haven't heard, Trevor and I have begun our plan to populate the earth with more perfect people! Baby's first ultrasound will be in April-so you already know what next months post will be! That's about it for us. Oh and Happy Easter or Passover, whichever pertains to you.

Our new place-The grand tour.
This weekend, we went up to Rexburg to build the snow cave of our dreams....I mean go to Danielle's
(Trevor's sister) wedding reception.
And it was the awesomest cave ever. It took a total of 8 hours and 7 people to build, but it was a beaut.
Pictured here is the front enterance. That long pile of snow to the right of the entrance is how long the cave is.

The picture doesn't illustrate this well, but this hole is on the top of the pile. It is our snow slide. You can slide on your belly into the cave or.........
This is looking toward the back entrance from the front. The picture doesn't do it justice showing the size and the length. But it's big enough to sleep six. Believe us, we know.
I'm pretty sure somebody spit in mine.
I think we had a little too much to drink.....

I know it's been forever. Here's an update

Sorry for the long delay. Update time. So I've been working 45 hours a week and going to school for massage therapy 14 hours a week. Talk about no time to myself. In the hour and 20 min that I have between work and school, I do laundry, homework, cook dinner, and try to have some sort of time for my husband. He works just as long and hard as me (but he gets up and goes to the gym for two hours every morning, so he does have a much longer day). On the up side, I got a raise! So that will help a lot. Things have been very hard, and we're at that point in life where "when it rains it pours." Oh and did I tell you, I've also been dealing with legal battles of identity theft in my name. And not by an individual, it was by a company that got a hold of my information. So I spend what little free time I have writing police reports, signing affidavits, and contacting district and state attorneys, because my attorney is bent on bringing this company down and having someone go to jail for this. As they should. So it's little old me against a large corporation. It's pretty scary and very stressful. Luckily I've got the best most supportive husband in the world and I love him. He always knows how to help me relax and seems to make things better. Anyway, I'm not writing to complain. I also have exciting news!!!

No, I'm not pregnant. What made you think that, you silly gooses! I want to wait until we've settled in Oregon. That's still at least a year away. No, this weekend I'm going to a private party hosted by Robert Redford himself.
Though I won't be there as a guest, I'll get to massage his guests. That's right, I'm going to be massaging celebrities! And meeting them and what not. I hope I can get some pictures. I don't know if I can bring a camera, but it'll be a tremendous way to get my name out there and hopefully someone will like my work. Cuz, my work rocks. I can't wait!!!Monday, October 01, 2007

Non-blog this
I don't have the internet for one thing. I'm working two jobs (one of which I had to sleep with my boss in order to get) and I'm starting school. I have to go to Leah's to post anything, and even when I do come over with the intent to blog, I play with her way too adorable kids and hold her way too precious baby. So I never get anything done. In recent news....
A few weekends ago, I went to Wyoming with Trevor and Greg Weld (a friend from Massachusetts who recently moved out here). We attended a mountain man rendezvous and found work at the root beer stand. It was a lot of fun, but I don't think I can drink root beer for a very very very long time. I forgot my camera, but Greg took pictures. I need to steal them from him. In order to be allowed in (for free anyway) you had to be dressed in era attire. So a lot of people were dressed in pilgrim clothes or leather. My favorite was one woman who was dressed like a native american, very decked out, and her little daughter was dressed like a pilgrim. Somehow, that didn't work out so well for me. It was odd looking. But it cracked me up. I dressed up, and so did Trevor and Greg. On Sunday, they held church in a field. It was a lot of fun because everyone was still dressed up. It made me feel like I was attending church like the pilgrims used to out on the plains (well except for the microphone and speakers for the bishop and testimony bearers). Another favorite of mine was the dance Saturday night. It was all by candle light and they had a real band. No one was allowed in at all with normal clothes. It gave me another feel for what it was like back then. I couldn't dance a lick, and it was hard to teach Trevor the polka but we had a blast. The night, Trevor kept us up all night singing on his guitar in a high pitched british voice. Greg and I about wet ourselves (did I mention we camped with another family of a friend of Trevor's?). I gained an appreciation for the pioneers and also hot showers and also bathrooms and also my own bed. Greg got the joy of sharing an air mattress with us. He slept on the side of Trevor I usually sleep on (because if you sleep on the opposite side, you get elbowed in the face a lot) so Greg got some nice cuddling, while I got elbowed all weekend. All in all, it was a great time.
The following weekend, Trevor, Greg, and I went camping to fishlake with my family. Trevor had never been and I had talked about it before. We promised Greg his own bed this time, so he happily came along. We had a nice few days hangin out with the fam. On Sunday, we headed to my Uncle Dean's in Sigurd and had a big family dinner. I haven't seen some of my relatives in a really really long time. 8 of my grandma's 9 children were there, and that is very very rare. Usually there's 4 or 5 of the kids. It was a special treat. That is until we got food poisoning from the deviled eggs. It hit Trevor hard, and we found out Greg got it bad too. I only got it mildly because I only had 1 1/2. Trevor ate 6 or 7. So he about died. But my food poisoning quickly turned into a pretty nasty cold. We spent most of last week in bed or in the bathroom. It was rather miserable. It was the only time I wished we had two bathrooms because we scarcely could share. Not too much fun.

Happy Anniversary!
Today, August 21st, is the day Trevor and I met and began dating. It's the day we spent that glorious day together and decided we couldn't live without each other. In about an hour it will be one year from the time he announced he was moving to Connecticut to be with me. This has been the best year ever. I love that Trevor kid so very much. I'm so glad I get to look forward to many many more years with him. He's so wonderful.
To celebrate, I lost my job.

A first for everything
Trevor left this morning at about 5:30 am for the Grand Tetons in Wyoming. He's going on a back packing trip with an old friend for four days. This is the first time in the year we've been together that we've been apart. I don't know what I'm gonna do with myself. I'm having separation anxiety. I don't know what to do without him.

The Fray
So for my birthday, Trevor gave me an early present and took me to the Fray concert on July 31st. It was awesome! We were about 7 rows back (enough to see Isaac Slades former days as a plumber)

Baby, you got back.....
Baby, you got back...all that money you saved. You got back your fashion sense. You got to save your back by buying a cute and versatile baby sling from HugAMonkey.com .... Not only that but now your hands are free to do everything else you need to do. Being a mom is hard work, but baby slings make it a lot easier, and they are very comfortable. You won't find more affordable slings anywhere. Even if you did, they aren't as cute or as high quality. They also have some really great models. Check it. http://www.hugamonkey.com/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=8 That's a really good one. This goes to all you expectant mothers out there. This is one baby product you shouldn't miss out on. Katelyn, DON'T do it! Please!
It's just that's it's hard when you don't have the internet or even time for yourself. Very very hard. I have something developing right now that I'm getting ready to post, but it's not done yet. Just have patience. I'll get there.
New things since last post:

- I got a new nephew (www.higgfarm.com)
- The triplets drive me nuts
- I miss connecticut and mostly the Steinbergs

- I kissed Trevor excessively

- Bought ant traps
- Placed ant traps
- Laughed maliciously

Operation: Park Bench
I have (I think) an abnormal love for books. I'm always looking for something (uplifting, mind stretching, interesting, motivating, etc., etc.) to read. Personally, I think TV is a waste of time. Since vowing not to waste my time with it nearly three years ago, I have really discovered a new me. I suddenly had time to practice and get more skilled at my music. I suddenly had time to exercise. And, wow, I really learned how to conversate (is that a word?), not just talk about "did you see what was on last night?" I got rather sick of somebody else writing a script for my life so I could wile away the hours mindlessly. I can still recall and quote every episode of Seinfeld and (almost) every episode of The Simpsons. Sad? Yeah, I think so. Which is why Trevor and I don't own a TV and don't plan on it. Occasionally we watch a movie on our laptop.
I've tried to join countless (ok, like five) bookgroups, but it seems like everyone else in the world is on completely opposite schedules than me. Either that, or they don't like me that much so they purposely schedule it so I can't make it (It's a conspiracy!). Leah, my dear sister, has shed some light on this problem of mine. A friend of hers has recently started a website called Operation: Park Bench . It's an online bookgroup. I just joined and I already love it. I've been telling everyone I can about the book I just finished, but now others can read it and discuss it at their own pace. I just read reviews, and added 4+ books to my list already. Put down that remote and get reading. If you're not a reader, then walk, exercise, learn a new skill, play with playdough, learn or invent a new recipe, clean something - whatever strikes your fancy. If there is a show you really do just love and can't do without (for me its 24), then rent the season when it's out on dvd (unless you're like me and your husband refuses to watch it. Then it's a lost cause and I'd rather spend quality time with him, anyway). There's so many better things to do with your time.

The following
is all from Leah's camera. When I get the professionals back, there will be more. Also, all who took photos should give me their good ones. I'd appreciate it.
